Amid Rumors That John Kelly Will Quit Trump Admin, He Comes Forward With Huge Announcement

The Trump presidency has seen an unprecedented amount of wild speculation and outright lies coming from the media about the administration. At every turn, the liberal media has been trying to undermine Trump with manufactured controversies and “insider” reports designed to sow mistrust amongst his cabinet members.

It’s been a rather successful strategy thus far, as it’s caused several high profile resignations, including HHS Secretary Tom Price and Chief Strategist Steve Bannon. The latest target of their of their anti-Trump campaign is the White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, who the Left has been claiming is on the verge of quitting his post or being fired by the president.

As reported at the Daily Caller, not one to sit back and let people slander him, Kelly came out on Thursday and crushed the rumors that he’s leaving his post and the possibility he may be fired soon.

I would just offer to you that although I read it all the time pretty consistently, I’m not quitting today. I don’t believe, and I just talked to the president, I don’t think I’m being fired today,” Kelly said during a surprise appearance at the daily White House press briefing.

Several “reports” have emerged recently, claiming that Kelly and Trump aren’t getting along, with the former Marine general considering a job change as a result. But on Thursday, Kelly set the record straight on the issue. While he admitted that being chief of staff to the president was the most taxing job of his career, he still has no intention of running away.

I would tell you, this is the hardest job I’ve ever had. This is, in my view, the most important job I’ve ever had,” he said, adding that the White House role is not “the best job” he’s ever had. Kelly said his time as an enlisted Marine sergeant infantryman was the best job of his decorated career.

He as then asked if there were any particularly frustrating aspects of the job, to which he gave only one.

My only frustration, with all due respect to everyone in the room, is when I come to work in the morning and read things I allegedly said or things that Mr. Trump allegedly said, or people who were going to be fired…and it’s just not true. That’s my frustration.”

I am not so frustrated in this job that I’m thinking of leaving,” he added. “Unless things change, I’m not quitting, I’m not getting fired, and I don’t think I’ll fire anyone tomorrow.”

And there you have it, a complete dismantling of the Left’s little narrative about him. They can spread all the lies they want, but the Trump administration has learned its lesson and will no longer fall prey to their misinformation campaigns.
